Major Events
- The Bennet family attends the Meryton ball where they meet Mr.Bingley and Darcy. Mr.Bingley and Jane dance together and have a quick connection, where as Darcy and Elizabeth spark prejudice towards each other. People blame Darcy's lack of enjoyment on his inability to dance.
- Jane is invited to Netherfield to dine with Mr.Bingley, but Mrs.Bennet does not let her take the carriage in hopes that the rainstorm forces her to stay overnight with the Bingley's. Jane gets sick from the storm and has to stay at the Netherfield estate for a few days. Elizabeth walks to the estate to help nurse her sister back to health.
- Mr.Collins writes a letter to the Bennet's announcing his visit to the estate. When he comes, he makes it clear that he is looking for a wife, but he is turned down by Elizabeth. The proposal is self absorbed and ridiculous. Mr.Collins turns around and proposes to Charlotte, who says yes.
- Mr.Bingley goes to London for business, but while he is gone, Bingley's sisters and Darcy follow, and write to Jane that Mr.Bingley will not be coming back. Jane is heartbroken.
- Wickham switches his attention from Elizabeth to Miss King, who has recently inherited a lot of money. Elizabeth continues to defend Wickham to her aunt and uncle Gardiner though. The Gardiner's take Jane to London, but Mr.Bingley does not call, so Jane loses hope.
- Elizabeth and the Gardiner's visit Rosings to dine with Lady Catherine. She is extremely rude and arrogant. Darcy comes a couple weeks later and he forms a connection with Elizabeth. Colonel Fitzwilliams spills the beans about Darcy getting Mr.Bingley away from Jane.
- Elizabeth is furious that Darcy ruined her sisters chance at being happy, so when Darcy proposes, Elizabeth says no.
- Darcy gives Elizabeth a letter telling her the truth about Wickham's past. Wickham wasted Darcy's fathers money and was a scam. Elizabeth slowly believes Darcy.
- Mr.Bennet ignores Elizabeth's advice when she says allowing Lydia to go to Brighton would be a mistake. Lydia goes to Brighton and Elizabeth goes with the Gardiners.
- The Gardiner's visit Pemberly with Elizabeth, because she believes Darcy is gone, but he arrives home early. She regrets not being the mistress of the house. She meets Darcy's younger sister, Georgina.
- Elizabeth receives a letter saying Lydia has run off with Wickham, and they don't believe Wickham will marry Lydia. Elizabeth tells Darcy of the matter and frantically goes home, where Mr.Bennet and Mr.Gardiner go to London to search for Lydia.
- Mr.Gardiner sends a letter home saying Lydia has been found and Wickham agrees to marry Lydia for a price. Elizabeth assumes Mr.Gardiner paid off Wickham's gambling debt. Although Lydia and Mrs.Gardiner tell Elizabeth the truth that Darcy found the couple and paid off Wickham's debt.
- Bingley proposes to Jane. Darcy tells Elizabeth his feelings have not changed, and she tells him that she wants to marry. Both couples get married.
